I was homeless and extremely in the midst of a breakdown. I carried a pack with my blanket in it which I would place down on concrete every evening.

I had a month earlier had a knee operation, where three ligaments were replaced. I had an extremely painful back as my lumber region had been smashed in two places a year earlier.

Why did it take me a trip to the Adelade mental health depo – where I did a lot of crazy stuff, before I was admitted to a psych unit?
